Our family loves puzzles. The end of our dining room table is often covered by pieces of a puzzle in progress. Only puzzles can compete with Twitter for my husband’s attention. When we are working on a puzzle, he becomes addicted. (He says it’s because he didn’t do these kinds of things when growing up.)

When we began considering ideas for adoption fund raising, our social worker mentioned a family that used a puzzle as a visual. After coming across a uniquely shaped puzzle with a China theme, and since a puzzle is a favorite family activity, we adapted the idea for our family. The puzzle features a mother and baby panda, along  with other Chinese animals and cultural images. It contains approximately 1,000 pieces. We need to raise $25,000, so we are asking friends to sponsor a piece for $25.

We posted a picture of our puzzle on Facebook and our our Youcaring.com page and will update it regularly as we receive donations. I’ll let you know how it works out! We hope to frame the puzzle for our daughter’s wall before we bring her home.

If you are considering a puzzle for  your adoption fundraiser, Sunsout has beautiful puzzles with African and Chinese themes at Amazon.com. If not, please consider sponsoring a piece of our puzzle at Youcaring.com.

As our family adds pieces to our puzzle, I want them to remember God is faithful to complete what He starts. He will see us through.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
